Did Bo Lisman, winner of the USA Eastern States Championship in 1937 and 1938, ever ride for Wimbledon?

This name doesnt ring any bells with me at all. Floyd Cramer, Stenners 46, says 2 tracks operated at Staten Island NY and Perth Amboy NJ. The Eastern Championship was staged at the final event at Perth Manuel Trujillo of Los Angeles winning from Bud Reda of NY City. There is no mention of defending champion in his report. He goes on to say in a few events at Milwaukee Johnny Spiegelhoff was outstanding. Page 63 gives 16 photos of the top American riders inc Lamoreaux & the Milne Bros but none of these two top riders

When Bud Reda arrived in the UK in 1950 there was speculation that he only decided to be a speedway rider after he met Ernie Roccio on board the liner taking both of them to England. However, as the previous photo illustrates he was active in the USA pre-war, while in 1946 competed in the USA National Championships in California. Read was also runner-up in the 1939 USA East Coast Championships. Facts which obviously give credibility to his longterm involvement as a speedway rider. In about 1980 Reda was also involved in an attempt to promote speedway in Florida where one of the riders was his grandson John Reda.Attachments:
