From the British Speedway Forum::: norbold Today, 06:47 PM Post #129 Group: Members Posts: 9384 Joined: 21-January 03 From: Clacton Member No.: 18 QUOTE (speedyguy @ Apr 23 2009, 06:26 PM) I have a list giving Andy Galvin as 1985. You quote 1988. This championship seems poorly recorded. PS: Wikipedia gives Dave Jessup as 1983!!!! No champions after that. Norbold's reply was::: Well if Wikipedia says that it is definitely wrong. I even have the programme for the 1996 London Riders' Championship. Chris Fenn's book, "Friday at Eight", also gives Bo Petersen as the LRC winner in 1983 and 1988 as the year Andy Galvin won it. This post has been edited by norbold: Today, 06:49 PM Let's get this further into perspective. The 1988 title won by Andy Galvin was restricted to Division Two riders. Not as elitist as the other championsips.

1980 Finn Thomsen, Hackney. Sweden
It's the first time I hear that Finn Thomsen came from Sweden. I always thought that he came from Denmark.

Is there any reason why Lakeside Hammers and Rye House should not link to revive this once much-loved event - the London Riders Championship?
