The story of the 1963 event was Ronnie Greene accusing Peter Craven & Sverre Harrfeldt of not trying when they met Ove in heat 19. Ove won the heat to total 13, Craven second made 10 and Harrfeldt fell finishing on 12 to take runner-up placing on the night. Greene accused the riders of taking money "not to win". The matter was reported to the Control Board and Ove was reported as telling Greene to prove his accusations and he could have the new bike, the winners prize, and would be welcome to "stick it" Eric Linden gave it all a big write up in Speedway Star. Harrfeldt was in a position of needing one point to get a run-off with Ove for the top spot so I found it hard to think he would take a fall to get out of a winning chance. I never saw the result of the S C B Enquiry, if one ever took place that is. Maybe rusty or someone on this forum can throw some light on this matter

1967 Winner - Gote Nordin, with a faultless maximum, no one could touch him that night. 1968 is Little boy Blue Nigel. What these records don't show is, that despite continuous rain, the stadium was stacked to the gunnel's. The promotion ran out of programmes and resorted to giving away hastily printed race details on A4 paper. With the aforementioned rain, didn't last too well.
