I acknowledge this is on the current Rye House website but it may help members who want to get along to the opening meeting of the 2010 season:
Lindgren Named To Ben Fund Bonanza
Wolverhampton and Grand Prix star Freddie Lindgren is the next top name to be announced for the Ben Fund Bonanza which opens the season at Rye House on Sunday 14th March.
Freddie, top average man in the Elite League last year as part of the Elite League Championship winning Wolves, rode in the Sheffield event a year ago also so is clearly very sympathetic to the cause.
He said "I think it's a really good cause it's a dangerous sport and if we can raise some money for the riders who have been injured that is a great thing to do I think.
"I was at Rye House two years ago for the Chris Neath Testimonial; that's the only time so I don't know that much about the track.
"It will be my first meeting of the season so it will be interesting!
"I have a very busy year with riding in three countries as well as the Grand Prix. I want to be at the top end of the GPs, that's what I am in them for and that is what I am aiming for."
The Super7 girls will be joining in the fun at Rye House, and there are just three places remaining to be filled in the Ben Fund Bonanza lineup.
Sponsorship for the Ben Fund Bonanza is now being sought, at £250 for a race or a rider, and £50 for other items. Anyone interested can follow this up by emailing juliereading22@btinternet.com.
