There is management concern that the site is not being visited by a proportion of members relative to the site membership. Please respond to the poll as this COULD determine what takes place on the site. Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you, Admin, London Speedways.

Every site member has been advised of the poll - both activated and non-activated. This revealed that eight listed as members no longer had the email address given when joining the site and these have been deleted. It has slightly reduced the site's overall membership, but nothing of major consequence. It is perhaps a sign that over the four years since the site was introduced do change email addresses and, in some cases, failed to make the needed amendment to their site membership. Thank you to those members who have already responded to the poll. Thank you, Admin, London Speedways.

Well I certainly want this site to continue. I find it interesting, informative and useful to look back at when I have a memory to clarify.

I hope those who reply will be honest and not count a reply to a request to vote as a visit since August 1 2012. Otherwise the whole vote is a waste of time.

I think you will find there is an increasing lack of message traffic on all discussion sites. The basic fact is that people's tastes are moving on and discussion groups are increasingly losing out to things like facebook and twitter. I have even noticed that although it was extremely busy there even seems a fall away on the BSF (British Speedway Forum). And while it claims a massive amount members - thousands of 'em - most of them have probably not been on there for years. I bet if they did a cull of those who haven't posted for the past nine months I bet there would be a drastic reduction. I bet that would also happen on here if the mod made a check on activity by members.

A disappointing voting response. 202 members - just 10 members took the trouble to respond. I now debate the issue: where do I (not where do WE) go from here? Admin, London Speedways,

Do I detect the site is set to go offline or at least the mod is gonna stop pasting all the updates? It all looks rather ominous to me. I hope not. There's some excellent historical data here - but who is really using it?

There's some excellent historical data here - but who is really using it? Well, let's say there has to be some evaluation at the end of the season. Just 10 poll replies from more than 200 registered members tends to demand thought on just how much input there should be. It would seem most of the site action is for the benefit of the moderator to show his typing skills. To have gone through the season giving classified results, previews and reports on Lakeside and the two Rye House-based teams without any response beggars the question "is it all worthwhile?"Admin, London Speedways.

I am annoyed at the tone of this message. I regularly visit the site without need to log-in, as can everyone. It's only when I need to Post a message that there's a need to log-in. Just because there was a poor return by members to the poll is no reflection on a lack of interest. My main visit is to the Rye House site for all the excellent news and match reports and to keep an eye on what Uncle Len is up to.

I wasn't happy to get the message either but must confess it's yonks since I visited. For all that I don't suspect the site will go but will just become some sort of reference place with the all stuff regarding results and Lakeside Hammers and Rye House dropped unless some member contacts admin to take that section over but it does look time consuming to do it and where does it originate from?
