This Post on the BSF may be of interest. If I find out more locally and get along to what's going on, I'll post some more info:

I know this is in the wrong section but could the mods please leave here until Tuesday May 4th as I think people will not go to the ‘years gone by’ section Taken from the yellow advertiser “Upminster Barn is set to become a temporary home for a new exhibition. As from tomorrow, [Saturday 2nd May] the barn will provide a beautiful back drop for old motorbikes and racing memorabilia. The exhibits are part of the Romford Bombers speedway team’s 40th anniversary celebrations. This is a free exhibition will run from Saturday 2nd May in the 15th century barn in Hall Lane, Upminster. Visitors will be able to see vintage motor bikes, old racing leathers, scrapbooks, photo’s programmes and rare film of the Bombers in action. Another special 40th anniversary Speedway Day will also take place in and around the barn on Sunday August 2nd, featuring many more working bikes, stalls, speedway memorabilia and appearances from veteran Bombers riders. For more information call Julie Duncanson on 01708 221914”
I’m not sure if this event has been mentioned on here before, I’m sure some former Bombers fans would love to attend, hope it’s not too late and the August date sounds great!

Were any site colleagues at the Brooklands memories Romford reunion today. Sadly I was not but I wondered who of the old riders may have turned up. Does anyone know who was there and what happened?
