I think Ray Bales, son of Billy, rode for a team called Tottenham Kangaroos at one time Another "Norfolker" I have lost contact with, Roy Tutthill, was in a London League after having some time with Bawdeswell, Swanton Morley & Mulbarton up here in Norfolk.

I think it was at the Coventry Ryton Event some years ago where there was indoor cycle speedway events but I cannot remember the details. I think there was a 4 team tournament of some sort which included a couple of London teams in it and one team from Norwich and one from the North of England, Offerton Devils is a name which stick in my mind with a bloke named Derek Garnett as a main team-man with them

Wasn't Den Cosby, early 1950s speedway rider, another graduate from push-bikes?
