White City Racers in 1967. I am not sure why I think this, but I have a feeling that he also rode for Acton Acorns.

I am certain the photo of Bill Pittingale was taken in the early 1950s before he changed over to the proper speedway bikes.

Bill was often at Morden during the 70s, his son Russ was racing at the time. Bill would help out on training evenings passing on his knowledge and experience to all. I picked up a lot of tips from Bill, great guy.

Some years ago - at least circa 2017 - Bill Pittingale was very active on Facebook advocating the UK's departure from the E U. Since then I have not seen any mention of him. I trust that all is well.

I am Nicola Baxter, Bills eldest Grand daughter. On November 27th 2019 he passed away to join his wife Lillian who died March 25th 2019. They are both missed immensely. Bruce (my Dad) Russell and Allun are all active on Facebook. I would love to see more pictures of Grandad and hear some of your memories of him, if you'd like to share some.
