We were constantly told during the 2012 season that Rye House rider Tyson Nelson was having visa problems which prevented him returning to the UK yet no explanation was ever given on the Rye House forum or on this site or elsewhere why the problems ever arose?

Yes, it would be nice to know why Tyson Nelson was absent from the Rye House team in 2012. We are just told 'visa problems' but never what they were. All it says on the Rye House site in a pen picture of Nelson is this:
"Visa issues prevented the 19 year old from taking his place in last year's Rockets side, and therefore from directly building on his first British season of 2011."

The Tyson Nelson visa mystery deepens it seems. This is included in the May 9 2013 Redcar v Rye House match report: "Footnote: Nelson’s mechanical uncertainty on Teesside now joins his uncertainty over visa clearance for his World U-21 round in the Ukraine. The Australian must journey to London tomorrow to see if the necessary clearance has finally arrived, in which case he will face a mad dash to compete in Saturday’s event at Chervonograd."

We were constantly told during the 2012 season that Rye House rider Tyson Nelson was having visa problems which prevented him returning to the UK yet no explanation was ever given on the Rye House forum or on this site or elsewhere why the problems ever arose? And so it seems to go on according to the latest Rye House report v Sheffield on May 11. More Tyson nelson visa problems. The match report explains - Rye House 52 Sheffield 38 (Knock-Out Cup; Saturday, May 11th 2013) A five man Silver Ski Rockets team – hit by the last minute suspension of Tyson Nelson – beat both the odds and the weather with a remarkable performance in the first leg of the Knock-Out Cup Quarter-Final tie against Sheffield. Following the non-arrival of the necessary visa clearance, Nelson was forced to cancel his trip to the Ukraine to compete in a World U-21 Qualifier the same day as this tie, and was busy warming up his bike in the Hoddesdon pits when word arrived that the FIM had banned him for two days – Saturday and Sunday - for his non-arrival in Chervonograd. If ignored, the suspension would be extended to the rest of the season. The Silver Ski Rockets were able to cover for the Australian’s enforced absence at virtually zero notice with Rider-Replacement, but having originally planned this facility for the injured Jason Bunyan in the No.2 position, had to leave a blank for the latter’s riding slot, with three of Bunyan’s programmed rides left unmanned and the other filled by a reserve.
