Is it true that in the early 1930s a Spanish team raced in a second-half match at Wembley? Also that about the same time a French team raced in a similar match at New Cross?

A French team labelled as Paris raced in a second-half match in either 1934 or 1935 at New Cross. They were beaten by the Lambs reserves riders. The Paris team did not include any of the then recognised French stars like Charles Bellisent, Fernand Meynier or Jean Landrau. I think that one of the Paris team had previously raced at Crystal Palace in 1928 or 1929.

There was a mention in Tom Stenner's famous book 'Thrilling The Million' - published about 1935 - where mention was made about Spanish riders racing at Wembley. Whether they went there as a team I don't know. The best Spanish riders around this time were Poto Primo and Poto Segundo but I'm uncertain if they appeared at the famed Twin Towers circuit.
