I am positive that Ivan Mauger rode for a team in south west London sometime in the late 1950s - or am I just imagining it?

IVAN MAUGER did indeed ride for the South London Rangers cycle speedway club initially with the 2nd team the Hunters and then promoted to the first team the Rangers, from memory I believe this was probably early sixties. Danny

Ivan Mauger not only rode for South London Rangers, but also rode for Edmonton Saints. Another well known personality who rode for South London was Brian Wood, who became the European Boxing Champion. Winifred Attwell was the South London President.

It would be great to see a photo of Ivan Mauger in his cycle speedway days. How good was he as a 'skid kid'?
