This track was a quarter of a mile from the West Ham speedway track at Custom House. We were called the Beckton Aces.
Terry Brown created the East London League consisting of the Stratford Hammers, Forest Gate Tigers, Beckton Aces.
The following riders went on to become speedway riders - Pat Clark, Ronnie Genz, Dave Still, Len Silver, Jim Heard, Jim Chalkley, Harry Eyers, Dennis Day.

Yes that is a bell on my bike. Did you spot the wing nuts on the front wheels???The year should read 1946.not 1945,oops my mistake.The track was an old cinder track.Great fun in those days.Jimbo aka Jim Chalkley.
