A couple of small corrections. The rider between Fred Williams and George Wilks is not Rune Sormander because he did not join Wembley until 1953. In fact, it is Denis Cross, a Lions junior rider, which has been confirmed by his son Bob on the Defunct Speedway website. The man on the right in the white coat is Tommy Barnett, who was Wembley's Chief Mechanic.
