September 17 2011 Rye House results::::: :::::::::::::::::::: Aidan Collins won his second UK title in succession and in great style by winning the last round of the Pozzani Grand National Flat Track uk Championship, run under floodlights at Rye House Speedway stadium on Saturday evening. Collins, who has been on fantastic form all season, controlled the final from start to finish, taking his 4th win of the season and winning the Championship by 24 points from runner up Tom Woolley. Tom had a battle with Suzuki's Tim Neave, with the pair swapping places for the first couple of laps, then Pidcock's Honda rider Tom held on to second until lap 8, when Tim drove underneath him and regained second place, which he held on to the end. Glyn Pocklington got a fine 4th spot after a race long dice with his Hemet4u.com Team mate Ben Baker. Pete Boast managed 6th spot after getting past Jacopo Monti on lap 5, who went on to crash out of 7th place on the last lap handing it to Darren Trapmore and rounding out the top 8 was Mini bike champ Mark Richardson. Monti is the Man .The Redmax Thunderbike class was full of thrills and spills, none worse than Mr Redmax himself Steve Hillary who was invovled in a nasty three rider crash in the middle of turn 3, Steve was taken to hospital with a suspected broken shoulder and left leg, we are wishing him well for speedy recovery. 12 Thunderbike riders progressed to the final from the initial 24 riders who took aprt in the heat, dominated by Jacopo Monti, who did the same in the final, leading from start to finish but it still wasn't good enough to take the 2011 Championship, as Anthony Brown brought the Co-Built Rotax home in 4th place, giving him the title win by 7 points. Alan Birtwistle had a great ride to get second spot and the first Co-Built rider home was Guy Sutherland with fine Third spot. Tom takes Junior Title. Tom Neave won the Arrow Engineering Junior Class in dominant style. Tom has won every round this year and wins the Title his brother won just 12 months ago, will be able to move up to the adult class for the remainder of the season, and with sponsorship from his Grandad he already has a 450 ready to go, so watch out Ade Collins! The Junior racing behind Tom was excellent with young Oliver Brindley riding a 85cc Yamaha to the limit and getting the better of the boys on 250's, Ben Chatterton picked up last spot on the podium, just giving him 2nd in the Championship. No Bull - Geoff takes the Win Goeff Bull and Darren Trapmore gave the crowd a real show, racing handle to handle on two types of Mini Bikes. Geoff was on the small wheeled 150 Stomp which was very quick down the straight but harder to ride in the corners and in turn Darren rode the bigger wheeled 150 machine which was slower than Bully's bike on the straight but handled a lot better in corners, which meant every race there must of been 15 passes between them but it was Geoff who got the overall win, Darren second and Geoff JNR third.
