The latest item re Rye House Raiders squad for 2012 was a disappointment. We now have a talented and loyal rider like Barrie Evans sidelined - because of the points limit I assume - no Lee Strudwick because of personal problems, In return we get three unknowns named to make up the side. Guess what? I will not be seeing this "rejuvenated Hackney Hawks" team very often this summer. There's a big drop in standard for the new look team.

I agree whole heartedly. Despite the denials, the National League is fast becoming a training track league and we already have the 'Anhlia Junior League to enjoy!'. Barrie Evans is always a potential match winner and always bitting towards the front in a race. Now Raiders are going to have three unknown kids bumbling around the track. And Len Silver expects us to pay to watch a team like that? Apart from a no-go it would seem for Evans, I wonder what other tracks in the National League are in a similar state for 2012 minus men able to race and of proven ability in the never-ending quest to find new riders? No other sport has this "destruct of the competent and replace them with the unknown' complex that bedevils speedway.
