I had a lot of trouble logging into the site. At least six attempts. I was only entering to read what has been happening at Rye House today, Bank Holiday Monday, August 26. I couldn't get there today as I had to work at the M&S store that employs me. Perhaps a report of the match against Berwick will be up later. But it looks as though there may be problems from whoever serves the forum. Watch out. That's all i can say.

I've also had problems trying to log-in, but must confess it's probably because I don't visit here very often. Apart from the updates on Lakeside Hammers and Rye House, which are top class. there's very little else to offer on here. It's very much just a reference website - very good when one considers what's on offer - but not enough attraction to justify a daily visit. To be honest, I am surprised that the Mod bothers with the Lakeside and Rye House stuff - the fact there's no comment from anyone on it tends to show how little this site is used. My bet is that apart from myself, the only other person who will read it is the Mod?

I had problems logging in to the forum about 8.45am today, I seem to have finally gained entry. However, I would interested to know if any other members have had -or are having - similar problems? Thank you.

In regard to the problem/problems I have highlighted. I have had a message from the server PROBOARDS that they are having GATEWAY problems this morning.

Further to the problems highlighted yesterday, I have received this message from the server Proboards. Hopefully it's business as usual again! Proboards commented: "We did have some login issues roughly between 6:30am-7:30am Pacific time. It's possible your issue was a precursor to this."

Earlier today you were probably receiving a message that there were problems entering the group. As now evidenced it has now been solved and we are again operating. The message from the server Proboards read: ":::::::: PROBOARDS MESSAGE::: We're really sorry about this, but due to an angry bear server issues we could not load this forum. Our technicians are aware of this problem and hope to have the Err Bear under control this situation sorted shortly!"

I know that the log-in problems can be irritating but they are usually quickly resolved by the main server PROBOARDS. My advice is, if you have a problem just log-out, wait about 30 minutes, then return to the forum. By then it should be 'business as usual.'
BTW - I have changed my AVATRAR image. The previous one showed the American rider Manuel Trujillo who rode mainly second-half events at Wimbledon in 1936 and 1937 when in Britain as a member of Putt Mossman's USA touring team.
Can any forum member identify who my new Avatar image shows?

One Oliver Hart I'd say! Stu Spot on Stu. The new Avatar image is the one-and-only Oliver Hart, who was a Wimbledon rider 72 years ago - for the 1946 season.
