In 2002, the Wimbledon Conference League team used 32 riders. Was this a record for the club or even the most riders any team has ever used either in or out of London?

I always thought the record was set in 1960s by Kings Lynn Starlets in their year in British League Division Two. This could well be the record for a London team but I dont think a record has ever been decided for London

Didn't the 1947 Wombwell NLD3 team use a lot of riders?

The Kings Lynn Starlets Junior team of 1959 used 28+5 "replacements" making 33 in all, to make up the team for 30 matches I think, according to Martin Rogers in his book "40 years" which was printed as a history of the Club in about 2006, from a look at the books statistics it appears 9 only made a single appearance. From memory the Wombwell Colliers used in the region of 20 to cover 28 matches. Remembering back to the Lynn days the team seemed to change just about every match. But the riders always had a go and rode as if their lives depended on the outcome, and they avoided the bottom League place I think.
