Looking at the pre-war London teams, it is interesting to see what a long period Ron Howes spent with Wimbledon. He was there from the very early 1930s until war started, was at West Ham in 1946, then resumed associations with the Dons until moving to Rayleigh in 1949.
Ron also had a stunt role in the speedway film 'Once A Jolly Swagman' which came out in 1948-49. I think he did the riding sequences for Dirk Bogarde.
