Besides riding for Crayford - not sure how many seasons - Derek Timms also rode for Aldershot in the late 1950s. What other tracks was he associated with?

Was Derek Timms in the same side as Tony Childs, Colin Gooddy and Mike Broadbank at Crayford?

Interesting to see that Derek Timms had a spell with Wimbledon in the late 1950s, albeit as a junior rider. In the London area, he was, of course, best known for his spell with Crayford.

I now have reason to think that Derek Timms also rode for New Cross in 1960...or thereabouts. He certainly seems to have got around and been involved in speedway for many seasons. It could be about 18 seasons?

I think he rode for Wolverhampton (Wasps), St Austell, Aldershot, New Cross, Cradley Heath and Crayford may be others but that's I can recall.

Derek Timms rode in 1968 for Crayford together with Geoff Ambrose (Captain), Tony Armstrong, Tony Childs, Dai Evans, Mick Handley & Stuart Riley. They are on a team photo I have seen of the side that started the British League Division Two that season.
