It has now been agreed that Buzz's Testimonial Night will be held on Saturday 6th March at St John`s Church Hall, 411 Malden Road, Worcester Park, KT4 7NY.
Start time will be 7.00pm and the evening will conclude at 11.00pm. Admission will be completely free although all those attending will be asked if they would donate a minimum of £5 to Buzz's testimonial fund.
Apart from the opportunity to meet Buzz and have your photo taken with him on his bike, we will be showing a recording of the last ever speedway meeting to have been held at Plough Lane, the Laurels, won of course by Buzz, together with other filmed highligts from Plough Lane's Conference League years. We will also be selling copies of Buzz's special testimonial programme that was printed for his rained off testimonial meeting and which for programme collectors has not yet been released.
To keep costs to a minimum everyone is invited to bring their own food and drink for the evening, which will be a great opportunity to meet up with old faces from the 2002 - 2005 period and to say thank you to a rider who without doubt has in recent times been, "BRITAIN'S MOST EXCITING SPEEDWAY RIDER".
There is plenty of off street parking for those driving to the venue, while the hall is only a few hundred yards from Worcester Park British Rail Station (frequent trains from Waterloo, Clapham Junction and Wimbledon) for those who will be coming by public transport.
Hope to see as many of you as possible on the 6th March.
Ian
