[urlCycle speedway PWP 2010][/url] This photo was taken by Stu Towner at Paradise Wildlife Park, Herts, on Sunday February 21 2010. It was part of the day to mark the start of British speedway at nearby High Beech in 1928. Does anyone know more about the cycle speedway shown in the photo? It looks like kids giving a demo run to me, but I could be wrong. Attachments:

It does look a very junior kids-wise set-up to me.

Kids enjoying themselves, poor advert for cycle speedway. And that badly marked track. Oh dear!

I believe that these are riders from the Suffolk club, Kesgrave Panthers. Please see the magazine : www.spokesman-online.co.uk/for details of this and all things cycle speedway. While I take on board the comment about the badly marked track, at least it performs the function of allowing racing.

This was indeed the Kesgrave Panthers Junior squad giving a demonstration of cycle speedway on a very cold and wet day at Paradise Park. Yours truly is standing in the middle overseeing the racing. Kesgrave are the number two junior club in the Country, second only to Poole.
